sassa_nfYou may have heard of the stories of the Russian invaders stopping the locals to ask for directions, at times with funny consequences.
As I went to check out my grandad's home town, I noticed the map was outdated. To help rid my town of Soviet legacy, I went to collect what needs fixing.
Then I realised this is how you can defend your town in the 21st century:
1. adopt new street names 6 years before the invasion
2. update street plaques 2 years before the invasion
3. publish only a partial list of changes on the town council site
4. update Google maps:
4.a. misspell street names
4.b. specify words in the wrong order to ruin searchability
4.c. specify incorrect street extents
4.d. place real street names on the streets in the wrong part of town
I never thought I'd say this, but in times of war bureaucracy and low education level could save your life.
